Heirloom, Open Pollinated, non-GMO seeds
Introduced in 1961, this is an excellent freezing and canning snap bean. The plant bears 5" long oval pods containing white seeds. Blue Lake is a heavy yielder, holds its condition well, and remains stringless and tender over a long period of time. Adapts well to any region. Seed directly once soils have reached at least 65°F, preferably after the last frost. Make small, successive plantings every 10 days for a continuous harvest. Plant seeds 1” deep, 4” apart. 54 days.
